Express Entry score decreases by five points in the latest draw which is least of all the draws. The decline in the CRS score is due to continuous arrangement of draws within every two weeks for Express Entry candidates. Candidate can now apply to Express Entry with as low as 440 CRS score to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA). In the year 2018, a whole of 70,300 ITAs were issued and about 22 draws were organized till date. Around 3,900 invitations to apply for the permanent residency are issued by the government of Canada for its Express Entry.
Saskatchewan organizes largest EOI draws for Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand immigration sub-categories by inviting 359 candidates for Express Entry and 494 candidates for Occupations In-Demand immigration for the provincial nomination. Also, the minimum score of 60-63 points on point assessment grid was seen for both the sub-categories since the adoption of Expression of Interest system by SINP. The SINP updated some changes in-demand occupation list by eliminating two occupations, namely, NOC 2123 (Agricultural representatives, consultants, and specialists) and NOC 3216 (Medical Sonographers).
Recently, various draws were made and invitations were issued to eligible Express Entry candidates with the improvisations in provincial Nominee Programs. In the months of July, August, and September, 3,000 invitation were issued through Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream, Saskatchewan shifted to an Expression of Interest system for its Express Entry sub-category and the formation of Nova Scotia’s Labour Market Priorities Stream. Also, due to a decline in CRS score for applying to Ontario PNP, candidates can easily get permanent residency. Saskatchewan also put a full-stop to first come first privilege and focused on applicants who can sustain in Saskatchewan’s labor market.
Express Entry arrives a record-breaking issuance of invitations in the third quarter of 2018. A total of 62,500 invitations have been issued till September and the aim is to reach 74,900 admissions in this year. There has been the significant elevation in the number of invitations issued to the candidates from June to September for Canada permanent residence. The target of 81,400 admissions for 2019 has already made by the government of Canada to invite application for the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Class, and the Canadian Experience Class.
