Manitoba issued invitations to 173 candidates through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) in the recent draw held on July 18. Under the MPNP, the province can nominate skilled workers for the permanent residence. The invitations were issued under the three streams of MPNP- Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education.
Of the total of 173 invitations, 110 went to candidates under Skilled Workers in Manitoba, 40 were issued under Skilled Workers Overseas stream, and 23 invitations were given to international Education candidates. And, remaining 28 invitations were given to the candidates having a valid profile in the Federal Express Entry system.
The minimum score for an LLA in this recent draw for Skilled Workers in Manitoba was 539 and for Skilled Workers Overseas Strategic Recruitment Initiative Candidates, it was 718.
Express Entry System nominates candidates who are highly skilled and have work experience. The EE system monitors the pool of candidates for the main economic programs of Canada – the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.
Candidates who have the interest to apply in any of the sub-streams of MPNP must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). EOI consists of candidate’s information such as education, work experience, English/French proficiency and Manitoba connection along with other details and based on those details, the score is given to candidates. The candidates who get high scores are issued with ITA through regular draws from Manitoba’s pool. With this draw, the number of invitations gets increased to 5,506 in 2019 so far.
