Manitoba province issued 224 invitations to immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in Canada in its recent latest draw held September 25. This 73rd Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw attracted candidates having their profile registered under one of the three Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) pathways: Skilled Worker in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas, and the International Education System. The province has issued 6,381 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) so far in this year to immigration applicants in three Manitoba streams.

The Express Entry System looks after the pool of applicants for three major economic Immigration categories of Canada: the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class. Candidates are given a score based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that includes human capital factors such as age, work experience, education, and language ability. And, candidates with highest scores get an invitation to apply for Canada permanent residence through regular draws from the Express Entry pool.

If you are looking for consideration for a provincial nomination from the province, express entry candidates need to have work experience in one of the occupations that are in high demand in Manitoba, among other requirements and have to submit a separate expression of interest with the MPNP.
Learn more : Check out the Manitoba Skilled Occupation listOut of 224, a total of 140 LAAs went to candidates with an EOI submitted under Manitoba’s Skilled Worker Category that offers a pathway to permanent residence for transitory International skilled workers in the province and International Graduates of Manitoba post-secondary educational institutions. To be considered to apply under this category, candidates need to be working in Manitoba and have a full-time, permanent job offer from their employer. The score is given out of 1,000 to EOIs submitted by skilled workers and highest-scoring candidates are issued LAAs. The lowest-ranked candidate in this September 25 draw had a score of 537. Selected candidates were invited through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative that includes overseas recruitment missions organized by the MPNP, often in association with Manitoba employers. To be eligible for an LAA, the applicant had to score 703 and above in this latest draw.
Manitoba Graduates having skills which are in demand may receive invitation under the International Education Stream. This stream includes three sub-categories: career Employment pathway, Graduate Internship pathway, and the Student Entrepreneur Pathway. In this latest draw, 25 LAAs were sent to candidates through the International Education Stream.
