Manitoba province issued invitations to 193 immigration candidates in its Latest Draw held on October 10 to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in Canada. Invited applicants were from a profile listed under the Manitoba’s Skilled Worker in Manitoba, Skilled Worker Overseas, or International Education Stream. By so far in 2019, the province has issued 6,574 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to immigration candidates through these pathways.

Qualified candidates in the express entry pool are ranked based on the CRS score that includes human capital factors like age, work experience, education, and language ability. Then, the highest-scoring candidates are issued invitation to apply for permanent residence through regular draws that take place every fortnight in the Express Entry Pool. Candidates are given with additional 600 CRS points that could help in escalating the chances of getting an invitation to apply from Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
To be considered for a provincial nomination from Manitoba Government, express entry candidates need to have eligible work experience in one of the occupations that are in demand in Manitoba and submit a separate expression of interest with the MPNP.

To be eligible to apply, candidates should be working in Manitoba and have a full-time, permanent job offer from their employer, among other criteria. A score is given to skilled worker EOIs out of 100 and LAAs are issued to the highest-ranking candidates.

Selected candidates through this category received a direct invitation through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative that includes overseas recruitment missions operated by the MPNP.
International students who graduated from Manitoba with in-demand skills may be invited through the International Education Stream. This stream has three sub-streams that include Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and the Student Entrepreneur Pathway. In October 10 draw, a total of 24 LAAs were issued to International Education stream candidates.
